Children's Rights

At Hyde and Swigart, we believe that children are the most vulnerable among us, and we proudly protect the rights of children and families. We represent children who have been the victims of physical and sexual abuse in foster care, and children and adults who have been abused by clergy. We also represent children who have suffered from:

  • Human Trafficking
  • Physical Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Child Neglect
  • Bullying
  • Abusive Head Trauma
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Product Liability Injuries
  • Failure to Report Child Abuse
  • Daycare and School-related Injuries
  • Wrongful Death

We also believe that families have certain rights that are all too often violated by governmental agencies. We represent parents who have had children removed by Child Welfare Services without a proper Protective Custody Warrant. We help foster children who are not in proper placements, languishing in institutions, not receiving proper education, and refused sibling visitation. We use Federal Law to hold people, and government agencies including Child Welfare Services, responsible when they fail the very children they swore to protect.

Are you a clergy sexual abuse survivor? Those institutions that shuffled predators from one location to another, gaining the trust of parents and giving access to children, must be held responsible! At Hyde and Swigart we fight for abuse survivors and expose the predators so that they cannot harm any more children.

Hyde & Swigart has helped thousands of consumers in California, Minnesota, Arizona, Colorado and Texas with their legal issues, and we have never seen two cases that were identical. We also have attorneys who have helped consumers in Florida, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington, and Washington, D.C. You should never assume your situation is the same as something that is described on this web site, or that you read elsewhere on the Internet. Each situation is unique, and in our opinion, each situation needs to be thoroughly and independently reviewed by a competent consumer rights attorney. While we are happy to do that for you for free, we cannot do that solely on this web site. Even our evaluation forms are mere starting points. You should never assume your case, your situation, or your set of facts, are covered in their entirety by this web site. If you have questions about your potential case, we will be glad to discuss them with you at no charge. However, do not act, or fail to act, simply because of something you read or see on this web site. Click here to read more.
